AREAS OF STUDY
PROGRAM & EXTERNSHIP
The mission of the Academy of Dental and Medical Assistants is to provide our students with an up to date education covering all of the topics and procedures our graduates will encounter in their new dental assistant careers.
During the ten week course, our students will learn all aspects of Dental Assisting, including, but not limited to
* Introduction to Dental Assisting
* Dental Anatomy
* Equipment Operation
*Four-Handed Dental Assisting, AND much more!
EXTERNSHIP - Our 40 hour externship program provides our students with the real-world experience they need to become dental assistants. The externship portion of our course allows our students the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of an experienced dentist in a local dental office. Students may begin their externships after class 6.
We have dedicated Career Service Representatives to assist graduates in job search and externshipes.
At the Academy of Dental and Medical Assistants your school president will help provide job leads, student must provide school with updated resume for job placement assistance.
The school will make every effort not only to satisfy the wishes of a graduate as to location and type of employment, but also match our graduates qualifications to the requirements of the prospective employer. However, no guarantee of employment can be made.
